In the last month, the US has implemented a “zero tolerance’ crackdown on migrants at our southern border. One effect of this enforcement tactic is that hundreds of children have been separated from their parents, a troubling development that has been roundly criticized. On this episode of Margin Call, we sit down with Mizgon Darby, the daughter and sister of asylum seekers from Afghanistan and mother of two, who shares her insights on the policy and its effects on children. Also in the booth is Sheerly Avni, a Kwest On contributor living in Mexico City who works with deportees from the United States, many of whom have also been separated from their families.
